With the Dodgers and Rockies in a rain delay in Denver, their Twitter accounts decided to engage in a classic battle of tic-tac-toe.
The Colorado Rockies are experiencing their third rain delay of the week on Friday night. With all the delays, the team isn’t getting time out on the field to find a rhythm and pick up some victories.
They had to face the Diamondbacks in a double header on Wednesday, and it’s unclear how many games against the Los Angeles Dodgers that they will miss if they aren’t able to get out on the field.
With nothing to do in Denver while waiting out the rain, their counterparts, the Los Angeles Dodgers, made the first move when they challenged the Rockies to a battle of tic-tac-toe.

The Rockies then responded with an “O” of their own.
Ok, @Dodgers. A little rain delay tic-tac-toe? Let's go! pic.twitter.com/xkMUWLm5cb

To which the the Dodgers continued to play the corner game.

As expected, the two teams blocked off each other with more defense than Floyd Mayweather in a big fight.

The game obviously ended with no winner.

Despite no one winning, the Twitter accounts game was just as compelling to viewers.
Team Twitter tic-tac-toe wars before games need to become a thing. With a plethora of rain delays occuring in Denver lately, they’ll have plenty of time to bust out a few more games before the teams take the diamond.
Maybe we can get a winner sooner than later.
On the board and on the field.
