Wide receiver DeSean Jackson thinks the Washington Redskins are a winning team, and that he and LeSean McCoy are in better situations.

Running back LeSean McCoy is still holding a grudge against Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly for trading him away to the Buffalo Bills. McCoy can’t stop throwing shade at Kelly and the Eagles over the move, suggesting that the moves might be racially motivated.

So of course when wide receiver DeSean Jackson was on SportsCenter he was asked about the situation, and surprisingly took the high road.

“Honestly, I’m further along than that,” Jackson said, via CrossingBroad.com. “It’s been two years since I’ve been removed from the Philadelphia Eagles. I’m just excited and happy where I’m at. I don’t really want to get too caught up in what’s going on over there in Philadelphia. LeSean McCoy is one of my great friends and he’s a great running back – he’s one of the best in the league – and I look at myself as one of the best receivers in the league. So as far as being removed from there, I can’t understand, why would you get rid of your best players on the team?”

Jackson is now with the Washington Redskins, and that is when his comments about the Kelly situation gets weird. Jackson thinks that McCoy and himself are in better situations now, in fact, he labels them as teams that are winning.

“But it’s their loss. Moving forward, the teams we’re with now is the teams that’s winning, the teams that’s gaining more of a respect of having them type of guys on the team,” Jackson said.

Let’s review this, Philadelphia went 10-6 last year and was competing with the Dallas Cowboys for the NFC East title in December. Washington on the other hand, where Jackson plays, went 4-12 and finished at the bottom of the division. Buffalo has notoriously been a bottom dwelling team that hasn’t won 10 games in a season since 1999, though they did win nine games in 2014.

So let’s not get all crazy about this “winning team” talk DeSean.
