<p>John Vanbiesbrouck played 20 years in the NHL with the first 11 coming in New York with the Rangers. The Beezer won his first and only Vezina with the Rangers in his second full season in the 1985-1986 season when he led the NHL with 31 wins and had three shutouts. He also finished in fifth place in the Hart voting that year and marked the first of nine times he finished in the top 10 for Vezina voting.</p> <p>Prior to the 1993-1994 season, the Rangers made Vanbiesbrouck available in the expansion draft, turning the net over to fellow American Mike Richter and he finished third in the Hart that year and became a three-time All-Star for the Florida Panthers. His best year came in 1996 when he led them to their first and only Stanley Cup Final.</p> <p>During his time in Florida, Vanbiesbrouck passed the 300 wins milestone, joining Tom Barrasso at the time as the only Americans to reach that milestone. He was inducted in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame and is the all-time leader among Americans with 374 wins and is tied with Frank Brimsek for the most shutouts with 40.</p>. Goalie. New York Rangers.
