The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Chicago Bulls in dramatic fashion on Sunday, but head coach David Blatt nearly cost them it with a mental blunder

Sunday the Cleveland Cavaliers took down the Chicago Bulls in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference series, and they did so in dramatic fashion with a buzzer-beating three from LeBron James. However, it appears that a mental lapse from head coach David Blatt nearly cost them all of this glory.

Late in the game the Cavs burned up all of their timeouts, which of course is never a good thing in a close, pivotal game, because you never know when you might need them.

Well in the second-to-last possession before LeBron nailed in that three, Blatt apparently forgot that his team had used up all of their timeouts…because he tried to call one.

Luckily for Blatt, he was pulled away. He’s lucky because, had the referees seen him trying to call the timeout with none left, it would have been a technical foul and it might have been game over from there in favor of the Bulls.

That was really close to being a major disaster for Blatt and his team, but they were able to luckily come away with the win.
