Watch as Rockets center Dwight Howard throws Clippers forward Blake Griffin to the ground after a thunderous dunk attempt.

The Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets are engaged in a heated playoff series in which the two teams don’t really seem to like each other all that much.

Los Angeles is ahead in the series 2-1 and looking to extend that to 3-1 on Sunday night as they are currently thumping the Rockets by 20-plus points. It looks like Houston is extremely frustrated and there’s a big reason for that — they’re getting demolished.

Besides the fact that unproven point guard Austin Rivers has been absolutely torching them during the series, the Clippers have been embarrassing the Rockets both at home and on the road.

This series may be over before it even started and Dwight Howard seems to be disgruntled at the thought of heading home early this postseason.

During the third quarter of Sunday night’s game, Clippers forward Blake Griffin went up for one of his patented thunderous slams and Howard took exception to it, tossing him to the ground, causing a bit of emotional flaring on both sides.

That’s a pretty rough foul for an otherwise mild-mannered Howard. Griffin seems to always be in the middle of some sort of on-court bout because players feel like he plays soft sometimes. However, his dunks say otherwise.

Referees went to the monitor after the hard foul to see if Howard should be issued a technical or ejected from the game and Chris Paul wanted none of it.

The Clippers want to beat the best, no excuses allowed.
