LeBron James is the best basketball player on the planet. It’s not hyperbole, it’s a basic fact — something proven after his clutch Game 4 performance lifted the Cavaliers over the Bulls at the buzzer.

It was a rough game for LeBron James up to that point, as he was shooting atrociously from three-point range and even went down with an injury in the third quarter. But all of that didn’t matter with 1.5 second on the clock, as LeBron James took a tie game and made it a Cavaliers win in less time than it takes to swallow.

After Derrick Rose sealed Game 3 with a Game-winner, LeBron James answered him with his own game-winner to even the series 2-2.

This all came after a series of events that saw the Cavaliers give up an offensive possession on a charge by LeBron James to give the Bulls a chance to tie the game up at 84-84.

It also came in a half where LeBron James landed awkwardly on his ankle and was cheered by Bulls fans for getting hurt.

Think that lit a fire in his belly?

The officials ended up giving the Cavaliers an extra timeout after an out-of-bounds call was reviewed — something that allowed the Cavaliers the chance to draw up the final play of the game.

Cleveland was out of timeouts, thanks to David Blatt deciding he wanted to be Andy Reid and waste his last timeout on a Bulls possession. But after the officials went to the video monitor to review the out-of-bounds play, Blatt was able to draw up the only play he could — an outside shot from LeBron James.

LeBron James has been criticized as not being clutch when he always needs to be, but this is about as clutch as it gets in the biggest moment of the playoffs so far. If the Cavaliers lose this game, they’re down 3-1 in in a hole they might not be able to dig out of.

Now, they’re tied 2-2 with the Bulls and suddenly control all of the momentum heading back to Cleveland for Game 5 on Tuesday night.
