Roman Reigns recently took some pretty nice shots at the man that’s pissed off the entire wrestling world, CM Punk

WWE superstar Roman Reigns recently took part in a Q&A session at the Wizard World Comic Con event in Philadelphia, and he absolutely held back no punches when it came to the subject of CM Punk and some claims that he has made over the course of the past few months.

Back in November when Punk appeared on the Art of Wrestling podcast with his friend Colt Cabana to shed some light on what happened between he and WWE, Punk claimed that the concept of The Shield, which we know consisted of Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, was entirely his idea.

Well, Reigns called BS on that.

In talking about Punk being the one that created the famous faction, Roman not only shot down that notion, but he took a pretty nice jab at the former WWE World Champion.

"“There’s a lot of things. You’ll hear all kinds of stuff, ‘CM Punk made The Shield.’ Yeah…okay. [laughter] The only thing he made was that Pepsi tattoo on his shoulder. I think a lot of people had their hands in on The Shield. We have a huge creative team that’s part of the process, but ultimately, myself, Dean, and Seth made The Shield.”"

Now the thing is, even before Punk made the claim, there were rumors that he was supposed to be directly involved with the group. Also, if you’ll remember back to their debut, WWE played with the gray area of only having them help out Punk, so it definitely appeared that was the direction they were going in.

It should also be noted that in the interview with Cabana, Punk also went out of his way to reveal that Reigns was not his first choice as the third member. He suggested Kassius Ohno, a concept that was shot down by management in favor of Reigns being the third person instead. So is there a possibility that Reigns could still be a tad bitter about not being the first choice for such a hot angle? Of course, but again, we still don’t know how well we can gauge what Punk says, because he’s still pretty bitter about everything as well.

Either way, you can watch the comments from Reigns in the video below and judge for yourself. The Punk section starts at the 16:30 portion of the Q&A.
