There are ten games on tap for tonight in Major League Baseball as another week of fantasy baseball gets underway as most teams open new series under the lights tonight. As you get your lineup together, one indicator of success that is fairly reliable is batter vs pitcher splits. These splits focus on how a batter has done in the past against a particular pitcher. If a batter has dominated the matchup in the past, they have a good chance to put up productive numbers tonight. On the following slides, you can find the top ten batter vs pitcher matchups to target for this Monday with a quick synopsis of how successful the batter has been historically.

I’ve been running his post for five days, and in that time my 50 picks are batting a combined .321 (51-159) with 30 runs, 29 RBI, seven doubles, and ten home runs. Yesterday, my picks picked up three home runs highlighted by Adrian Gonzalez 2-4 with a home run and four RBI as well as Stephen Vogt who went 3-4 with a solo home run.

Let’s take a look at the top ten Batter vs Pitcher matchups for tonight:
10. Andrelton Simmons-SS-Atlanta Braves: The Braves are in Cincinnati tonight as they open their series against the Reds. Simmons is set up well to start the series strong as he faces Mike Leake. Although he doesn’t have the power numbers of some of our later options, he’s worth a look since he is 5-13 (.385) with a double against Leake in their previous meetings.
9. Curtis Granderson-OF-New York Mets: While his average isn’t outstanding, 11-44 (.275), Granderson nice enough power numbers off of Jon Lester to earn him a spot in our top 10. Of those 11 hits, five have been for extra bases with two doubles, a triple, and two home runs resulting in four RBI. Granderson will look to continue that success as he faces Lester at Wrigley Field tonight.
8. Justin Turner-3B-Los Angeles Dodgers: If the Dodgers find a way to get Turner into the lineup tonight, check him out as a nice value play in Miami. In the past, Turner has gone 3-4 (.750) against Tom Koehler with a double and two walks.
