Peyton Manning sang ‘Folsom Prison Blues’ with Dierks Bentley (Video)

Peyton Manning is a national treasure and him singing Johnny Cash with Dierks Bentley proves it.

Peyton Manning can be a divisive figure in the NFL at times. Fans of Tom Brady, as well as many others, will be quick to point out that Manning doesn’t have the playoff success that other all-time greats can boast. Others will criticize this current version of Manning as only being good because of the weapons around him.

Regardless of any of those opinions, though, Manning has always been entertaining in every aspect. He obviously performs well on the field. His dry, wry humor always resonates well when he’s performing in that capacity. Apparently he’s also into singing Johnny Cash songs with country stars, like he did this weekend at a charity event with Dierks Bentley:

Manning is the greatest; that’s not a statement of bias or fandom, but rather a statement of undeniable truth.

Who cares if the quarterback can carry a tune or not; the fact that a middle-aged man at his level of fame has the lack of self-importance and the humility to get up on stage and do something like that because he thinks it’d be fun is amazing. Never change, Peyton.
