Full video highlights from Game 7 of the NHL Playoffs between the Washington Capitals and New York Rangers.

The Washington Capitals and New York Rangers had a tough Game 7 match up with a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals on the line. The Tampa Bay Lightning punched their ticket on Tuesday night, defeating the Montreal Canadiens in Game 6.

The Rangers got off to a less than desired start, with Rangers goal keeper Henrik Lundqvist making a big save early in the game.

Before the game Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin guaranteed his team would win Game 7 and reach the Eastern Conference Finals. He was the won to step up and give his team the early lead in the back half of the first period with a wrist shot.

The Rangers nearly had the equalizing goal when Rick Nash got away on a breakaway, but Capitals goal keeper Braden Holtby made a big save to keep the lead intact.

About 7 minutes into the second period, the Rangers got a chance on a power play to tie it up. The goal was a team effort with some beautiful puck movement between J.T. Miller and Ryan McDonagh setting up Kevin Hayes at the far post for the easy goal.

There was a big hit in the third period that will certainly be a talking point after the game.

It was a frightening scene as Dan Boyle tried to get up after the hit.

The game went to overtime and it took a little over half the period to end the game with a goal from Derek Stepan.
