Kevin Kiermaier made one of the most incredible throws from the outfield we’ve seen in quite some time.

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier, aka “The Outlaw”, is already a young, but underrated talent in Major League Baseball. He didn’t need a signature play to prove it.

But in case there were any doubts, “The Outlaw” naturally unleashed a canon from his right arm Wednesday night, nailing New York Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira at the plate, who tried to score from second on a lined shot to center.

“The Outlaw” said “no soup for you”, as he stared down Teixeira and unleashed his canon, with no apologies. Teixeira was dead immediately. His slide was a good effort, but nothing else.

The elder Yankee first baseman had no real hope of getting in under the tag of Rays catcher Bobby Wilson.

In all reality, he probably should have held up at third base, hoping a teammate would pick him up. The failed run accounts for the difference in the ball game at the time of writing–it’s 3-2 Tampa Bay in top of the 8th inning.

But Teixeira may not have yet known “The Outlaw” was aptly nicknamed. Most likely he won’t forget the next time he stares down Keirmaier.
