Aaron Hernandez told Titans player he would kill him (Video)
By Josh Hill
Aaron Hernandez is a murderer, but he was crazy long before he pulled the trigger and became an actual killer.
The saga of Aaron Hernandez isn’t over, as he’s going to be spending the rest of his life in prison after his murder trail found him guilty. But while Hernandez won’t see the light of day ever again as a free man, his time in the NFL is being looked back on in new light — including the things he said while on the field.
We all say stupid and often times harmless things in the heat of passion, but everything that Hernandez said is being re-evaluated. One particular play involved Hernandez — a convicted murder — telling a player he was going to kill him.
On the play, Mouton is heard telling Hernandez, in so many words, that he plans on messing him up all day long. According to the cornerback Hernandez’s response was that he was going to kill him.
You can’t hear Hernandez say that in this clip, as the mics didn’t pick it up — but Mouton assures us that it was said.
This maybe didn’t seem like a big deal at the time, but in the context of what Hernandez became and what we know about him now — this is a little more than significant.
Of course, this incident doesn’t in any way mean that the murders Hernandez committed could have been prevented, but it’s chilling to read with hindsight. It also doesn’t help that the Patriots are associated with scandal at the moment, and to pile on there’s the fact that Aaron Hernandez is telling people — on video — that he’s going to kill them whilst wearing a Patriots uniform.
That doesn’t have much to do with DeflateGate at all, but it’s just a bad time for the Patriots who are being reminded that in addition to deflating balls, they employed a psychotic killer and paid him over $40 million.
