FanDuel Hitter Options For May 16
Catcher:
Buster Posey, San Francisco Giants ($3,700): Posey has been hitting pretty well lately. He also has a great lifetime average against Mike Leake. Posey holds a .385 with a homer and 3 RBI. He is a bit pricey, but he should be a solid option for the tilts tomorrow.

Cheaper Option:
Yasmani Grandal, Los Angeles Dodgers ($3,000): Grandal has been pretty hot lately. He has only faced Jorge De La Rosa five times with one hit. Grandal has had one huge game and a few solid performances that has given him 2 homers, 12 RBI and five runs scored.
First Baseman:
Adrian Gonzalez, Los Angeles Dodgers ($4,500): Gonzalez is a bit pricey here, but will most likely be worth every penny. A-Gonz has been hitting pretty well lately and holds a .370 average with three homers against De La Rosa.
Cheaper Option:
Ryan Howard, Philadelphia Phillies ($2,900): Howard just hit a HR on the 14th and has hit a few more within the last several games. Howard is heating up and at this price tag he is a good bet to own in a daily league.
Second Baseman:
Howie Kendrick, Los Angeles Dodgers ($3,300): Kendrick is a great option here. He is batting well lately and also has hit for a .500 average against De La Rosa.
Cheaper Option:
Brandon Phillips, Cincinnati Reds ($2,900): Phillips was on a tear before missing a few games due to a bum toe. As long as he plays he will be a solid option for the 16th. He has for a .444 average against Ryan Vogelsong.
Third Baseman:
Luis Valbuena, Houston Astros ($3,000): Valbuena has not been super hot lately, but he does have two home runs in four hits in his career against Marco Estrada. Valbuena is a solid option and should serve us well for his price tag.
Cheaper Option:
Mike Moustakas, Kansas City Royals ($2,600): Moustakas has not been his best so far on the season, but has hit safely in his last four games. I do not know that I would want to use a much cheaper option than Valbuena here, but if you have to then Moustakas is the one to use.

Shortstop:
Alexei Ramirez, Chicago White Sox ($2,600): Ramirez has nice little hitting streak of seven games heading into the action on May 15th. He has been hot and plus he has a .375 average against Jesse Chavez. I am not going to offer a cheaper option here as there is no one else I was really interested in using at the SS position.
Outfield:
Carlos Gonzalez, Colorado Rockies ($3,100): Gonzalez is only hitting .192 on the season and has not yet really done much. He is facing off with Zack Greinke who is pitching remarkably well, but sports a great career average against. In 19 at bats Gonzo has a .316 average with two HRs, 4 RBI and a SB. Hopefully this will get him warmed up.
Bryce Harper, Washington Nationals ($5,600): We were pretty diligent with out salary heading up to this point and so we have plenty of salary left to use Harper here. He has been so stinking hot lately it is just too hard to pass up on using him here.
Jose Bautista, Toronto Blue Jays ($4,600): Bautista just hit a HR on the 14th and is pretty hot himself. He also has hit great against Scott Feldman with a .375 average and a homer, 5 RBI and a SB. He is worth the money here for me.
Cheaper Options:
Curtis Granderson, New York Mets ($2,900): Granderson is not quite the player he was the last few years and I know you all know this. However, he still has some pop left in his bat with 3 HRs on the young season. He has hit for a decent . 259 average with a homer against Matt Garza and should be a decent gamble here.
Kyle Blanks, Texas Rangers ($2,700): As long as Blanks is in the starting lineup and this is one you will want to watch he is a solid option to start in daily leagues with this cheap price tag. He has been really hot lately and could push Mitch Moreland out if his bat stays as hot as it was.
