RTOE: Kiss Cam high jinks and Christmas jerseys
By Ian Levy
Oh wow, two RTOEs in one week. Let’s get into it.
Is this fake, or what?
Jack (@jackhaveitall): I think so? I mean either way it’s funny so I guess it doesn’t really matter, but yeah, it looks pretty staged.
Eric (@ericbuenning): It is 100 percent staged. There are several things wrong here.
1- Watch the girl with the beer. Totally unnatural movement going around the body for the hug. Super done on purpose.
2- Same girl. Who has that little control of a beer? She cared so little for saving her beer. BOOOOOOOOO.
3- The couple behind the kissing couple. WHY ARE THEY CLAPPING? WHO CLAPS AFTER THAT?
4- The couple who gets beer spilled on them. If you’re on camera, in no way are you just sitting there smiling politely at the camera. You’d be all in on that hot kissing action.
This is all a rouse. For shame! ..GO. WIZARDS.
Zach (@ZachOliverNBA): I agree with my comrades here. It’s fake, and to be honest, it’s not done too well. Better luck next time.
Which of the new Christmas jerseys is your favorite?
Jack: I’m a big fan of Portland’s. The cream jersey with the the red sash looks great, and the cursive font they used for “Blazers” is pretty sweet as well.
Eric: Blazers, hands down. That candy cane look is fantastic.
Zach: Man, I’m boring today. I have to agree with these guys again and say Portland. It’s a nice color, and the candy cane stripe is a very nice touch. Also, I like Phoenix’s, but Portland’s are slightly better.
Whose performance was more impressive: John Wall on one hand? Or Al Horford saving the Hawks?
Jack: Horford was fantastic and he hit the game-winner, but Wall going out there and dropping 15 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 blocks on a broken hand was more impressive. He has five fractures! It’s insane that he’s even playing, let alone doing all that.
Eric: Horford had the better game (and may have saved the Hawks season), but Wall being on the court makes his performance more impressive. Have you ever sprained your wrist? That hurts so much! Now amplify that pain up to a fracture and multiply it by five. Wall had that while playing a game in which that hand is going to come into play several times. I don’t know how on earth he was able to be productive last night.
Zach: I’ve been harping on this since last night, but Horford is criminally underrated. He was soooooooooo good last night, and really has been for the better part of the playoffs for the Hawks. That being said, I think I give the nod to Wall, but just slightly. Obviously the hand injury is well documented, and there’s no way that five fractures healed in a week. That was a gritty, gutsy performance. A lot of credit to him for being a warrior and playing, but also a lot of credit to Horford for his amazing game on both ends.
