Three massive home runs in two days, Giancarlo Stanton making people forget about his ludicrous contract.

Giancarlo Stanton finished the 2014 season with 37 homers and 105 RBI in 145 games.  Mr. Stanton parlayed his best season thus far into a 13 year, 325 million dollar contract.

Approximately a quarter of the way through the 2015 season, Stanton has been earning his pay check.  Stanton currently has 11 homers and 36 RBI.  Playing the projections game, that projects Stanton to set career highs in homers and RBI.  Stanton has twice hit 37 homers in a season while 105 is his personal best for RBI.

The real story here is just how impressive the home runs being hit by Stanton have been.

A tip of the cap to the fan who caught the ball barehanded. That ball surely still had to sting even though it traveled 478 feet.

The Braves saw Stanton go yard twice yesterday. One time drilling the ball 392 feet. The next time demolishing the ball 474 feet. Simply put, Stanton’s homers are works of art.

Of all the teams in the National League sporting a losing record, Stanton by himself makes the Marlins easy to watch. With CBS Sports reporting that Marlins stud right-hander Jose Fernandez had a bullpen session Saturday on the one-year anniversary of his Tommy John surgery, another “easy-to-watch” option is on its way.

I wonder if Stanton could hit the ball over 500 feet at Coors Field?
