The Oakland Raiders drafted Ben Heeney in the 2015 NFL Draft. Apparently, way back in 2004, Heeney predicted he would be drafted into the NFL.

It’s every kids dream to become a professional athlete when they are in grade school. The margin of athletes that actually make it to the pros is so small, those dreams typically never come true.

However, in the 2015 NFL draft, that dream became a reality for at least one person. Ben Heeney, who the Oakland Raiders drafted 139th overall, predicted that he would one day play in the NFL.

Look’s like that prediction finally came true.

In case you can’t read the poor handwriting of a young Ben Heeney, he said that he wanted to play college football at the University of Kansas. As well as wanting to play football in the NFL because it would be a lot of fun and he would make a lot of money.

At the University of Kansas, he played linebacker after initially trying to play running back in their system. The coaches saw him more fit to play defense, despite his impressive numbers at running back in high school. Now, Heeney gets a chance to play linebacker for the Oakland Raiders.

The last prediction on the list of goals from Heeney’s grade school self is to become a college coach. As a 5th round pick in the NFL draft, the expectations for Heeney aren’t particularly high. So if he doesn’t end up panning out the way the coaches thought he might, there is no reason why this last prediction won’t come true. After all, he is batting 1,000 with his goal achievements so far in life. Is there any reason why this last one won’t come true?
