Legendary boxer Shane Mosley left the GGG win on Saturday night because he thought it was over earlier than it was

Saturday night Gennady “GGG” Golovkin improved to 33-0 in his amazing career when he knocked out Willie Monroe Jr. in the sixth round of their battle in California. However, knocking down Monroe twice in the second round, there were a lot of people that believed it could have ended right there.

Well, apparently, “Sugar” Shane Mosley not only thought that it could have ended that round–he actually DID think that the fight was over.

After all was said and done on Saturday night, Mosley was man enough to laugh at himself for a bit on his Twitter account, when he readily admitted that he bolted the place in the second round, thinking GGG had won already.

Well, hey, can anyone of us who has ever been at a sporting event before not blame Mosley for trying to get ahead of the other cars? Getting out of these events could be a massive pain, we’ve all learned this at one time or another.

Still, the former champ should have been just a tad more aware of what was going on, and his security team should have been as well. What GGG is doing here is building a legacy for himself, and you don’t want to miss a second of it.
