On this slide, you’ll find three fantasy baseball studs who will cost you big money in daily fantasy baseball, but should be able to deliver based on matchup and current form. If you own these players in season-long formats, they are must-starts. On the next slide, you’ll find three options I’d recommend by-passing today for daily fantasy baseball based on their matchup and their recent struggles. On the final slide of this post, you’ll find my favorite three sleeper starting pitchers for today. If you are planning to hit the waiver wire in search of a streaming starting pitcher or just looking to save some cash to invest in your lineup for daily league play, those three options are a great place to start.

Let’s start out the week right with a strong day today based on this quick look at today’sfantasy baseball starting pitchers.
3 Starting Pitcher Studs
1. Matt Harvey-New York Mets: Harvey is clearly the best option tonight if price is not a factor. He has been excellent in his seven starts this year compiling a 5-1 record and a 2.31 ERA. Harvey has picked up 47 strikeouts in his 46.2 innings while allowing just 12 earned runs and posting an impressive 0.92 WHIP. He didn’t allow a run against the Cubs in his last start but still was stick with a no-decision despite a dominant three-hit, nine-strikeout performance through seven innings. He’ll look to duplicate that start tonight as he takes on the Cardinals at Citi Field. It’s not the best matchup ever, but he’s still far-and-away the safest and best fantasy baseball option for today.
2. Corey Kluber-Cleveland Indians: Kluber returned to Cy Young form with a masterful outing against the Cardinals in his last start fanning 18 while allowing just one hit in eight scoreless innings. He came into that game with an ERA over 5.00 and an 0-5 record, though, so the season has been anything but smooth for last year’s breakout Ace. He’ll face the red-hot White Sox tonight, so there is definitely risk involved in starting him tonight especially since Chicago usually hits him well. However, in a limited field he’s still enough of an Ace to earn this second spot, so proceed to use him as you normally would (but with caution).
3. Chris Sale-Chicago White Sox: Sale takes on Kluber in what could be a great pitchers duel. Like Kluber, Sale looked good in his last start after a rough stretch. He struck out 11 Brewers while allowing three hits and two runs picking up the win moving to 3-1. He still has a 5.09 ERA, but with a limited field he has enough upside to consider for tonight.
