The world has been given it’s first glimpse of Michael Fassbender as the iconic Steve Jobs in the upcoming Danny Boyle movie
A teaser for ‘Steve Jobs’ has been released and the world has been given a quick insight in to the star studded cast that will be depicting the life of the innovative and controversial Steve Jobs.
All we have seen up until this point we have only seen images of the Irish/German actor Michael Fassbender in his role of Steve Jobs, and this quick teaser doesn’t give us a whole lot more. You hear distinct voices of characters discussing different moments of Jobs’ life/personality but you aren’t given the visuals that go with the conversations, clearly a clever touch to build suspense.
The movie is being made by Oscar winning director Danny Boyle and was written by the genius that is Aaron Sorkin, so to say that expectations are high would be a serious understatement. Add in to the mix the likes of Fassbender, Kate Winslet, Jeff Daniels and Seth Rogen and you have the potential for a great movie.
The resemblance of Jobs’ and Fassbender is quite close when you finally get to see the actor at the end of the trailer in front of a packed crowd wearing the infamous black turtle neck and glasses, and the level of performances that Fassbender is renowned for only adds to the expectation surrounding the movie.
With a director and screenwriter that have Oscars on their resumes, this movie is widely expected to be a critical and commercial success with Oscar nominations to boot. Only time will tell if it lives up to the billing, but when you have this many heavy hitters on one project it’s bound to pay off. (Hopefully)
