Scott Hall reportedly thrown out of wrestling event for being too intoxicated (Video)
Scott Hall was allegedly too intoxicated at a wrestling event, resulting in him being escorted out.
WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall was reportedly thrown out of a wrestling event that he was working in Asbury Park, NJ this weekend for allegedly being too intoxicated.
TMZ Sports got hold of a video from the event before Hall was escorted out:
Hall, who had a public battle with drugs and alcohol for years, had brought his fight to stay sober to the public eye by teaming up with DDP, who famously helped Jake “The Snake” Roberts (also seen briefly in the video) on the road to sobriety.
As far as the video goes, Hall does seem a bit out of it. However, there’s not a whole lot in the video that backs up every claim that the event promoters made to TMZ.
The promoter says that Hall was told and given the chance to sober up on a number of occasions, but failed to get his act together. He demanded to be paid after being told to leave, which prompted security to walk him out of the event.
Hall recently appeared for WWE at Wrestlemania 31 as a member of the NWO in the vaunted Sting vs. Triple H match. Hall seemed to be doing well at that time, even taking a bump at one point as the NWO fought with Degeneration-X.
If the reports of his intoxication at the event are true, let’s hope that he’s able to right the course and get back to sober-living. He’s certainly a legendary figure in the business who deserves better than being escorted out of independent wrestling shows because of his behavior.
