A New York Police Department officer got to take a picture with Peyton Manning at David Letterman’s last evening as a late-night talk show host.

Peyton Manning is one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history and one of the most-liked guys in the entire league. His younger brother, Eli Manning, has won just one more Super Bowl than Peyton, but is otherwise known as the ‘other brother’ out of the two.

While Peyton is known as the better of the two quarterbacks, and rightfully so with his five MVP awards and 530 career touchdowns, one NYPD officer threw him under the bus a little bit.

After spotting Peyton in the streets, heading to David Letterman’s last night as the host of the Late Show, one officer took a picture with the 14-time Pro Bowler and one-time Super Bowl champ, taking a sly jab at the quarterback.

Just look at what the officer said via his Twitter account:

While he did preface the tweet with “As a Giants fan,” the officer knowingly took a jab at the Denver Broncos‘ quarterback by also standing up for the New York Giants‘ signal-caller.

Peyton’s career stats amass Eli’s numbers by a wide margin as the older brother has been in the league for six more years, throwing 271 more touchdowns, about 30,000 more yards and making 11 more Pro Bowls.

It seems like the officer was just taking a friendly jab, but the shade he threw at Peyton was pretty comical as well as note-worthy.

Fact of the matter is, more often than not in the past few years, Eli has been questioned by his own fans more than Peyton ever has by his.

The Giants haven’t been serious Super Bowl contenders in a few years, but that could all change as he had a solid 2014 season, passing for 4,410 yards and 30 touchdowns — both the second-highest marks of his career.

Eli also threw just 14 interceptions last year, his lowest total since 2009. Denver has been lucky, however, to have his “Eli’s brother” who has led the Broncos to the Super Bowl in 2013 as well as passing for 131 touchdowns and over 15,000 yards in just three years with the team.

Peyton and Eli don’t meet during the 2015 season, but the playoffs might see a rematch of the brothers.

As for this officer, it’s clear who his favorite gunslinger is.
