The Anaheim Ducks won Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals against the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Western Conference Finals of the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs resumed on Thursday night. In Game 2 the Chicago Blackhawks leveled the series with a win after multiple periods of overtime before the series headed back to their home ice.

It set the table for an intriguing match up as the Ducks looked to regain home-ice advantage. They got off to the right foot with a power play goal in the first period.

Jonathan Toews was the victim of a high stick to the face.

At the end of the first period the Blackhawks were able to tie up the game with an incredible and bizarre goal from Patrick Kane. Kane lost the puck and some how a group of Ducks players didn’t manage to pick it up in something stooge like.

The puck then magically found its way back to Kane, who had his back to the goal, and he put it on goal without looking to tie it up in the final moments of the first period.

The play of the second might have been this from Corey Perry of the Ducks. His stick breaks, but he grabs a new one off the bench on the fast break, gets the puck and gets a shot off.

Just like Kane did to the Ducks in the first period, Simon Despres did to the Blackhawks in the second. With 55 seconds left in the period, Despres one-timed a shot on goal to give the Ducks the lead.

The Blackhawks would spend the entire third period looking for the tying goal to force overtime, but they couldn’t get anything to find the back of the net.

Kane had an incredible chance within the last 10 seconds to tie the game but missed the goal grazing the outside of the left post.

Game 4 will take place Saturday night, as the Blackhawks look to once again level the series.
