The “Greek Freak” Giannis Antntokounmpo has an incredible max vertical reach.
Giannis Antetokounmpo showed tremendous prowess and improvement in his second season in the NBA and the Milwaukee Bucks. However, some gifts can’t be taught with experience at the pro level.
The Greek Freak showed off his max vertical reach on Wednesday for the Bucks’ Twitter account and it’s probably even crazier than what you’re thinking:

That’s right; Antetokounmpo got up to 12’2” on that jump. Being able to get up that high means that he would be just 10 inches away from slapping the top of the backboard, which stands at 13-feet tall.
The 20-year-old first-round pick from 2013 is only getting freakier as time passes by. Reports from late in his rookie season were that he was still growing, despite measuring at 6’9” prior to the draft with a 7’3” wingspan. He also has insanely large hands:

Antetokounmpo put up 12.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, one block and 0.9 steals per game on 49.1 percent shooting in his second season.
However, it’s undeniable that he has incredible physical gifts that he’s still harnessing as he matures and gets more experience in the league. If he’s able to put his skill and physical talents together in the coming years, he could be a near-unstoppable force in the league quite soon.
