Previous: +4th. Tampa Bay Rays. 11. team. 21. Quick, can anyone tell me who leads the Rays offensive attack? Give up? How about 28-year-old Logan Forsythe, who has mustered a strong .301/.373/.489 slash line, four home runs, and 18 RBI while playing all over the infield. Looks like Joe Maddon didn’t take the Rays magic with him to Chicago. .

12. team. 127. The Padres have played .500 ball in 2015, but onthey certainly didn’t spend heavily this winter to be a .500 team. One of those high-cost acquisitions, Matt Kemp, has just one home run and a .367 slugging percentage. That will need to improve if the Padres want to contend, and if they start to fall too far out of the race, some feel Bud Black’s job could be at risk.. . Previous: -3th. San Diego Padres

. Previous: +5th. Los Angeles Angels. 13. team. 102. The Angels have managed to run off an impressive streak, winning five of their last seven games. Interestingly enough, they’ve done that by placing lead-off man Kole Calhoun into the clean-up spot, where the Angels have struggled to a .189/.267/.336 batting line this season. In seven games in the four-hole, Calhoun has driven in five runs, whereas the others who have taken a turn there have just 15 RBI in 32 games. The move has seemed to work out just fine.

. Previous: +2nd. San Francisco Giants. 14. team. 40. A 12-5 run will certainly get a team back into contention in May, and the Giants needed it after the hot start for the Dodgers. Most impressively, a team that has been offensively anemic at times has managed to put up 4.76 runs per game in May after struggling to score just three runs per contest in April. Coupled with a rotation that has surrendered an MLB-low 51 runs in May, and you have a recipe for wins.

15. team. 4. Returning to Pittsburgh has seemed to agreed with A.J. Burnett. The 38-year-old has given the Pirates seven quality starts in eight appearances, and has been good for a 1.38 ERA, a 3.08 FIP, and has surrendered just two home runs in 52 innings of work. He and Gerrit Cole have formed a solid 1-2 combo in the Pirates rotation. . . Previous: -2th. Pittsburgh Pirates
