Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James fooled the Atlanta Hawks defense with a sweet behind-the-back pass to Iman Shumpert during Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

LeBron James reminded the world on Friday night during Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals that he’s the NBA’s best player and no one’s even close to him.

The four-time MVP has carved up the Atlanta Hawks’ defense all night, as he’s scored the ball at will and, just as importantly, set up easy scoring opportunities for his teammates.

Perhaps the best example of James’ impressive distributing skills displayed on Friday was his behind-the-back assist to Iman Shumpert in the third quarter.

"LeBron is putting on a show! #NBAvine @cavs https://t.co/H3BKYwXtCO — NBA (@NBA) May 23, 2015"

Yep, that’s why he’s the NBA’s king. That’s a perfectly timed pass, giving Shumpert basically a warmup jumper.

That’s only one of many great plays from James in the third quarter on Friday. He scored 11 points and assisted on four three-pointers, helping the Cavs outscore the Hawks 30-17 during the 12-minute frame and take an 18-point lead entering the fourth quarter.

With LeBron playing at the level he is right now, the Eastern Conference Finals could be over rather quickly. Atlanta has no answer for him and it’s unlikely that problem will get solved as the series shifts to Cleveland for the next two games.
