LeBron James is always the smartest player on whatever basketball court he steps on, and you’d better listen to him when he yells at you.
When LeBron James yells at you, you’d better listen up.
That was seemingly the case in the middle of the first quarter of the Cavaliers Game 2 battle against the Atlanta Hawks. Before the Cavaliers opened up a 10-point lead on the Hawks in the second quarter, LeBron James thought it was time to reign in the troops and start getting things straight before they got out of control.
While he could have been just talking loud to speak over the crowd, his animated gestures seem to suggest that LeBron’s pointers are coming more from a place of frustration than of love.
LeBron James needs to take control of the Cavaliers if they want to win the NBA Finals, and that’s what he’s done for most of the postseason so far. The Cavaliers are up 1-0 on the Hawks and are in line to get a two game lead on their final series before the NBA Finals.
This isn’t the first time LeBron James has been in the Conference Finals against a tough opponent, and if he can keep his gang in line the whole way through then that’s going to be huge. Sometimes, that means being the bad guy and putting his teammates in place.
