The 2015 Major League Baseball season has been crazy and we’re not even two months into it. While not every development so far this season has been a shock, there have been a lot of surprising performances.

While Bryce Harper has finally become a stud and his Washington Nationals look dominant, teams like the New York Mets, Houston Astros and Minnesota Twins have stunned everyone with their early-season performances.

It’s never smart to read too much in to what players and teams do in April and May. But some of the performances so far really are worth taking a long look at. It’s too early to get extremely excited about some of the surprises this season, but that doesn’t mean we can’t break down and discuss them.

What follows is a look at the five biggest surprise performances from players early in the 2015 MLB season.
