Draft Kings Pitcher Picks For May 23
Welcome back to the best place to get expert Starting Pitcher Selections for DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball contests. These are how my Thursday picks turned out: Jacob DeGrom (44.4 FP, $9000), (Kershaw (17.1 FP, $12,400), and Archie Bradley (4.65 FP, $5100).
Below are my picks for Saturday night, May 23rd, 2015. There are 6 games on the DraftKings late slate of baseball contests starting at 7:15 pm. Good Luck!
Jake Arrieta (CHC) at ARZ for $8500. Arrieta (22.3 FPPG) has been stellar this year with 4 wins and a 2.77 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 55 Ks in 52 IP. He has especially pitched well of late with 29.6 FPPG in his last 2 outings. He faces the Diamondbacks tonight for the Cubs, who are a -120 road favorite. Arrieta has pitched once against Arizona in Chase Field, earning a quality start (6 2/3 IP, 3 ER, 8K) and 21.4 FPs last season. He is a top fantasy pitcher and is one of few stars available on the docket tonight – take him.

C. J. Wilson (LAA) at vs. BOS for $7,000: The Angel lefty has pitched well in 2015, going 2-2 in 8 starts with an impressive 3.06, 1.13 WHIP as well as 36 Ks in 47 IP. He has a 2.10 ERA in his last 5 starts and has gone 7+ IP in 3 of his last 4. He faces a Red Sox team that is hitting an awful .197 vs. LHP (worst in the majors) and is struggling mightily to score runs with only 20 in their last 9 games. The Angels are at even odds on the Road at Fenway and face knuckler Steven Wright. Plus, the Angels hit 2 HRs on fellow knuckleballer R.A. Dickey this season. At $7000, this is a very good price. Pair Wilson with a high-priced starter and have some money left for bats.

Edison Volquez (KC) home vs. STL for $6100: The Kansas City righty has been good this season with a 3-3 record but a 2.74 ERA and 1.05 WHIP along with 38 Ks in 49.1 IP. He’s coming off an impressive outing vs. the Yankees on 5/17, allowing no runs and only 3 H/BB in 7 IP with 5 Ks (27.4 FP). His takes the mound for the favored Royals (-120) against St. Louis who is reeling, having been shutout in two straight games. At $6100, getting Volquez now at home against a struggling offense is an absolute steal.
Good Luck!
