The Cleveland Cavaliers keep getting breaks left and right, the latest of which was Al Horford getting ejected for elbowing Matthew Dellavedova.

Matthew Dellavedova is an ejection machine — not that he’s the one that gets ejected but he seems to draw ejections at critical moments in series. He was on the receiving end of a kick that had Taj Gibson ejected in a critical game against the Chicago Bulls last series and he was on the receiving end of an elbow that saw Al Horford ejected in a critical Game 3 on Sunday night.

Here’s a look at all angles of the flagrant two that saw Al Horford get ejected for elbowing Matthew Dallavedova:

There’s debate about whether the foul was really warranting an ejection for Horford, as it looked like it might have been accidental. Then again, this is in the context of Horford believing that Dellavedova went for Kyle Korver’s ankles in Game 2 to injure him and finish his series early.

For what it’s worth, a technical was assessed to Matthew Dellavedova, much in the same way his technical was assessed in the series against the Bulls. On that play, Dellavedova was kicked by Taj Gibson, who was ejected for his hit on Delly.

The debate is whether or not this warranted an ejection, much like the Taj Gibson ejection. Cavaliers fans will swear up and down that this was malicious, while everyone else will acknowledge that if Horford really wanted to club Delly here, he would have — and didn’t.

I guess if we shoot a gun at someone and it misses, we shouldn’t charge them with attempted murder.

Dellavedova has no reputation whatsoever of being a a dirty player and all those saying otherwise aren’t acknowledging the fact that this is the most they’ve ever talked about them in their lives.
