Sleeper Options

Michael Lorenzen. 14. player. 61. Lorenzen has pitched in five games this season for the Reds with three starts.  In those three starts, he allowed five runs in 16 innings although his 1.68 WHIP is a sign of how many runners he has allowed this season.  Lorenzen has upside as he takes on the Rockies, and he should be able to steal a win, but he’s still a risky streaming option for today.. Cincinnati Reds. vs Rockies

player. 9. Hendricks shook off a rough start to the season to pitch a five-hit, complete-game shutout his last time out while dominating the Padres in San Diego to pick up his first win of the season.  He also threw 5.1 scoreless innings against Milwaukee earlier this month, but his 4.14 ERA shows how rocky some of his other outings have been.  He’s at home against the Nats tonight, and Hendricks will look to build on his stellar outing with another good start tonight. He’s owned in just 8.4% or ESPN leagues, but I think he makes a solid streaming option despite some risk tonight. . Chicago Cubs. vs Nationals. Kyle Hendricks. 13

2. Pelfrey has been solid for the most part this season aside from a rough outing in Detroit two starts ago.  He has allowed two runs or fewer in six of his eight starts which is why he sports a solid 3.00 ERA.  Pelfrey doesn’t pile up strikeouts (22 in 45 innings), but he can give you a solid start most of the time and the Red Sox lineup is inconsistent enough to target today.. Minnesota Twins. vs Red Sox. Mike Pelfrey. 12. player

player. 95. Rodriguez has allowed exactly one earned run in four of his six starts since joining the Rangers. One of the starts where he was knocked around, though, came against the same Indians team he’ll face today, so proceed with caution despite Wandy’s promising 1.15 WHIP and 3.38 ERA through six starts with Texas.. Texas Rangers. @ Indians. Wandy Rodriguez. 11

player. 62. Happ’s last start was cut short due to rain, but he was off to a rough start in Baltimore anyway.  Aside from that start (four earned runs in two innings) and one other rough outing in Houston, Happ has allowed two runs or fewer in each of his eight starts posting a 3.61 ERA and a 3-1 record.  Happ is still available in 65 % of ESPN leagues and one of the best streaming options for this Tuesday as he takes on the Rays in Tampa.. Seattle Mariners. @ Rays. J.A. Happ. 9
