Solid Starting Options

St. Louis Cardinals. vs Diamondbacks. Jaime Garcia. 8. player. 32. If you can still get Garcia in your league (18.9% owned on ESPN), he needs to be your top target for today.  He looked strong in his first start back allowing just two runs in seven innings despite issuing five free passes to the Mets.  He took the loss, but there is plenty to build on as he takes on the D-Backs tonight in a game that he should be able to win. He is injury-prone, but while he’s healthy he’s a solid option

7. player. 17. Teheran faces the Dodgers in LA tonight looking to improve to 5-1.  He has allowed one earned run or fewer in three of his last four starts and can provide solid strikeout numbers when he’s on fanning 47 in 50.2 innings.. Atlanta Braves. @ Dodgers. Julio Teheran

90. Zimmermann has been solid but unspectacular this year piling up four wins in his nine starts with a 3.52 ERA.  He’s in a good matchup against the Cubs today and will look to turn in his eighth straight quality start.  He only has 36 K’s in his 53.2 innings, but he’s a solid option with limited downside in Chicago tonight.. Washington Nationals. @ Cubs. Jordan Zimmermann. 6. player
