Tristan Thompson with back-to-back huge dunks in Game 4 (Video)
By Sam Richmond
Cleveland Cavaliers big man Tristan Thompson threw home a putback dunk and an alley-oop dunk on back-to-back possessions in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Tristan Thompson is one of those guys you can’t help but love to watch. He’s a talented young big that plays with incredible energy.
That energy was on full display during the third quarter of Tuesday night’s conference finals bout between Thompson’s Cleveland Cavaliers and the Hawks.
First, Thompson finished a LeBron James miss with an authoritative putback dunk. Then, on the Cavs’ very next possession, he slammed home an alley-oop dunk off of a J.R. Smith pass.
Thompson has really shined throughout the postseason and it’s been great to see.
Thompson’s played a huge role in helping the Cavs thrive even with Kevin Love out for the season. He was averaging 8.9 points (57.5 percent shooting from the field), 9.8 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game in the postseason entering Tuesday’s game. He also secured a double-double in Tuesday’s game before the fourth quarter even started.
Thompson’s a free-agent after this season, but you better believe the Cavs are going to do everything they can to keep him.
