Tristan Thompson drills 18-foot jumper at the buzzer (Video)
By Sam Richmond
Cleveland Cavaliers big man Tristan Thompson showed off his range with an 18-foot jumper at the first quarter buzzer in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Tristan Thompson has been one of the most impressive role players during the 2015 postseason, as he’s given the Cleveland Cavaliers a big boost rebounding and on the defensive end.
But it was his offensive skill-set that impressed early on in Game 4 of the conference finals.
Thompson hauled down an offensive rebound and proceeded to drill an 18-foot jumper at the buzzer to give the Cavs a 12-point lead over the Atlanta Hawks heading into the second quarter.
That one had to hurt the Hawks. I mean, when Tristan Thompson is knocking down mid-range jumpers it might be a sign that it’s just not going to be your night.
Thompson is averaging 8.9 points (57.5 percent shooting from the field), 9.8 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game this postseason. There’s no doubt he’ll cash in as a free-agent this summer if he continues to play at this level for the remainder of the Cavs’ playoff run.
