Dwight Howard throws down powerful dunk in Game 5 (Video)

Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard slammed home an absurdly powerful dunk in Game 5 of the 2015 Western Conference Finals.
While he is one of the most disliked players in the NBA, there’s no denying that Dwight Howard is one of the league’s very best centers. When healthy, he’s an elite defender and rebounder as well as someone that can be counted on for 15-20 points per night.

Howard certainly reminded NBA fans just how great he was during the first half of Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals. Superman was the Rockets’ best player during the first 24 minutes of Game 5, posting 12 points, eight rebounds and three blocks.
However, one play from Howard’s first half stands out. The Rockets center slammed home an incredibly powerful dunk with 7:10 left in the second quarter that cut the Golden State Warriors’ lead to just three.

That is just plain nasty. Howard can be a truly dominating force and it’s awesome to watch when he’s playing at that level.
The Rockets are certainly going to need more aggressive plays like that from Howard if they are able to come back from the six-point halftime lead the Warriors hold and force a Game 6.
