Hawks radio guy calls Dellavedova “Tonya Harding”
It appears the Atlanta Hawks radio guys have no love for Cavaliers point guard Matthew Dellavedova.
One of the big talking points of the Eastern Conference Finals was whether or not Cavaliers point guard Matthew Dellavedova was a dirty player.

Some believe he is, and others believe the Australian was giving it his all on the basketball court.
The two biggest incidents came when he slid into the legs of Hawks guard Kyle Korver for a loose ball. Korver would scream in agony as he rolled up, and he wouldn’t play another game in the series after it was found out he needed surgery.
Another big play was when he and Atlanta center Al Horford went after a ball. Dellavedova had his arm locked and slid into Horford for the ball, which Horford then returned the favor by dropping a Randy Savage-style elbow right on the Australian and getting ejected.
It appears with all the incidents involving the rugby-style play of the Aussie, some people are not enthused with the point guard. According to Chris Mannix, the Hawks radio guy compared Dellavadova to Tonya Harding as he checked in the game.
Tonya Harding, of course, was the famous Olympian figure skater, who was alleged to have had sent some goons to break the leg of her rival Nancy Kerrigan.
Kerrigan was struck in the leg with a pipe, and the goons got away in a getaway car like something out of the WWE, leaving her unable to compete against Harding.
This situation is different, as James Jones wasn’t driving the getaway car and Dellavedova wasn’t carrying a big pipe or anything to strike Korver with. It’s a play that will be debated forever and there will be only the judgment of the viewer in whether they think it was dirty or not.
Some will be upset and label Dellavedova as dirty, and others will think he was just playing hard.
The Atlanta Hawks radio crew, they might have taken it a little too far.
