DraftKings Pitcher Picks For May 28
Welcome back to the best place to get expert Starting Pitcher Selections for DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball contests. Below are my picks for Thursday night, May 28th, 2015. My Tuesday picks brought positive results with deGrom (26.9 FP) and Price (21.55 FP). There are only 6 MLB games tonight on the DraftKings late slate of baseball contests starting at 8:05 p.m. I will give you one pitcher option at three pricing levels. Good Luck!
Corey Kluber (CLE) at SEA for $11600: The Indian righty (3.49 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, 83 K in 69 2/3 IP) is back in his 2014 Cy Young form as he has been completely dominant lately. In his last 3 starts he has given up just 2 runs and has stuck out 27 in 25 IP for an incredible 41.13 FPPG. If that’s not enough, he faces the Mariners (last in ML vs. RHP w/ a .229 BA), in Safeco Field (last in Park Factor runs) as a -140 favorite for the Indians who have won of 7 of their last 9 games. Do not he afraid of the top salary, you need a great starter to be competitive in most contests and Kluber is worth the investment tonight.
CC Sabathia (NYY) at OAK for $8400: Sabathia (12.7 FPPG) is not the pitcher he once was and is coming of a brutal outing vs. TEX but is a value pick today at $8400. This is mostly because of his opponent (17-27 Oakland) and their ballpark which is 21st in Park Factor HRs at 0.90. Sabathia was showing signs of life in road wins on 5/11 and 5/16 against the Rays and Royals respectively, averaging 25.6 FP with a $7850 avg.salary. The Yankees are a -115 road favorite today against the Athletics, who are hitting just .217 vs. LHP (28th in ML) with only 4 HRs in 406 AB against them. Look for CC to get back on track tonight.

Ian Kennedy (SD) home vs. PIT for $7100: Kennedy (2-4, 6.11 ERA, 1.39 WHIP) has largely been bad in 2015 coming off an injury, but pitched very well last time out vs. the Dodgers allowing just 2 runs in 6 IP with 6 Ks and almost 18 FPs. Kennedy (13 wins and 3.63 ERA in ’14) is a good pitcher and did well against the Pirates last year allowing just 2 runs in 2 starts with 12 Ks in 12 2/3 IP. At a season low $7100 and at pitcher-friendly Petco Park, Kennedy is worth a flier, especially in large tournaments.
