Josh Hamilton was looking like his old self on Friday night as he drilled two home runs for the Rangers
The 2015 Major League Baseball season has been anything but ideal for Josh Hamilton. After he experienced a relapse with his addiction issues, his time with the Los Angeles Angels came to a close and he returned to the Texas Rangers. This past week he made his 2015 season debut, and on Friday night, Hamilton gave everyone a glimpse at how good he can still be.
With the Rangers facing the Red Sox on Friday night, Hamilton would drill his first two home runs of the season, giving the fans in Texas quote a thrill.
The first one came in the second inning to give the Rangers a 1-0 lead:
And the second one of the game would come in the fourth inning, giving the Rangers a 3-2 lead. This one was no doubt about it right off the bat:
Again, 2015 has not been the easiest year for Josh Hamilton and it’s nice to see that he’d getting back into the swing of things (no pun intended) fairly quickly here in his return to the Rangers.
While the situation is less than ideal, the team is certainly glad to have their slugger back.
