One New York Rangers fan gave a solid pregame interview before Game 7.

I’m not even sure how to give this Rangers fan who was bragging about his awesome seats before Game 7 a proper lead, so let’s cut right to the chase, get on even footing and then discuss.

Okay, so there are two ways to take this guy. One, is to hate on him (what we call the knee-jerk social media reaction). Call him a showboat. Maybe say he’s a fool for not selling those tickets. Laugh at him now that we know the outcome of the game and how sad he likely was/is. Heck, even the NHL’s official Youtube page takes a crack at the dude.

"A cocky Rangers fan talks about spending his money on Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final."

The other is to love him. Guy pulls no punches, has great seats, is stoked to watch a Game 7, and is basically a caricature of himself.

I’m gonna go with the second camp. The guy is so self-aware that it’s hilarious. How can you not love when he holds up the necklace? Or when he repeats the ticket price like he’s on the The Price is Right (That’s forty-five hundred, Drew. Four thousand five hundred. Four. Five. Zero. Zero.). Four grand to become an Internet sensation – why not.

Sure, making a lot of money on the re-sale would’ve been cool. And yeah, he could’ve bought a bunch of water. But this dude is stacking hundos and checking cheddar like a food inspector. Benjamin Franklin is killin’ the game, and Rangers Fan Will is reminding the world that when you’re rich you don’t write checks.

The absolute best part is how nobody around him bats an eye. Guy goes viral and his buddy sits there eating ice cream, just watching Will be Will. Too bad we don’t have a postgame interview with him. Though he was probably still in DGAF mode. Will doesn’t seem like the kind of guy to stay down for long.
