The Chicago Blackhawks are going to the Cup, and the Chicago Cubs are in full support of their pro sports neighbors.

The Chicago Cubs have been without a World Series for over 100 years. But that doesn’t mean they are bitter at all about another Chicago team winning a championship in their respective sport. Well, except for those pesky White Sox. However, when it comes to the Chicago Blackhawks everything is fair game!

The Blackhawks game 7 victory over the Anaheim Ducks meant they advanced to the Stanley Cup where they will meet the Tampa Bay Lightning. In response to this epic win, the Chicago Cubs threw out a tweet in support of their Chicago neighbors to show the Blackhawks just how much they love them.

The picture is quite awesome and just shows how neighborly the Cubs are being in supporting their Blackhawks. Sure, hockey fans can be annoying (especially Blackhawk fans), but that doesn’t mean the Cubs shouldn’t give the Hawks a little love during their playoff run.

The Blackhawks appreciated the tweet with a little thank you response of their own.

Who knows, maybe the Cubs will find themselves in a playoff match up sooner rather than later and might need all the help they can get at Wrigley Field. There is no louder and more obnoxious fan base than the Blackhawks, so if their NHL counterpart shows them support, maybe those Blackhawks fans can come out to Wrigley and help cheer on Anthony Rizzo and company as they attempt to win the first World Series for the Cubs since 1908.

Until then, Chicago sports fans will have to rely on the Blackhawks and cheer on the only team in Chicago who seems to be doing anything in the playoffs this season.
