It´s been a bit over five months since Sam Mendes and his relentless film crew began filming ‘SPECTRE’ and with more exterior scenes filmed in London on Saturday, the newest Bond thriller has entered the final stages of shooting.

Daniel Craig and Naomie Harris were spotted filming scenes on location in Westminster on Saturday. Actors and crew began filming in King Charles Street from which the official 007 Twitter feed released a new clapperboard image showing a camera crane on the iconic government building that houses Her Majesty´s Revenue & Customs. The mood on set seemed relaxed as Sam Mendes could be seen hugging Craig after a lively conversation. Naomie Harris looked stunning in a blue dress and matching high heels carrying a black box.

Further filming took place in Great Scotland Yard & Scotland Place, the latter being the side street of the Department for Energy and Climate Change on which the final scene of ‘SKYFALL’ was filmed. Both roads were closed for several hours to ensure undisturbed filming conditions.

With the other location shoots in Austria, Italy and Mexico completed, only Morocco remains. The ‘SPECTRE’ film crew is expected to arrive there shortly to film scenes in Tangier and Erfoud. Reports in January indicated, that several scenes had already been shot on location there even before the official press launch on 04 December 2014 in which director Sam Mendes announced that filming Bond´s new action-packed adventure would take seven months. As principal photography began in December, upcoming June should be the final month. The magic words “It´s a wrap” can not be far away now. It is however understood, that coincidental studio filming in Pinewood is still ongoing.

With filming now gradually drawing to a close, it is highly mysterious that we haven´t seen any pictures of Christoph Waltz yet. With the ongoing speculations about his role in the film, this should fuel the rumour mill once more. Although his character in the film is named ‘Oberhauser’, many fans have already placed their bets on him portraying legendary supervillain Ernst Stavro Blofeld. Having followed the production of Bond24 very closely on a daily basis, I assume we are in for quite a few surprises with ‘SPECTRE’. Once filming in Morocco is completed, roughly 4 months remain to shape and polish the film through editing, sound and music. ‘SPECTRE’ is scheduled for global release on 06 November.
