Fantasy Baseball: Waiver Wire

Fantasy Baseball: Waiver Wire
Welcome to this week’s edition of fantasy baseball waiver wire. It is our goal here at Fantasy CPR to give you the best and most up to date advice for all of your fantasy sports needs. Our advice here is based on standard ten-team leagues with a 5×5 scoring setup. To qualify for an add here a player has to be under 50% ownership in ESPN.com leagues. The players are not necessarily listed in order here, but I will mention if I think a player is an add in larger leagues and not in ten-team leagues quite yet.

Billy Burns, Athletics: Burns has been playing very well as of late. He is riding a seven-game hit streak with a batting average of .327. If you are in need in the outfield you could do a lot worse than adding Burns.
Chris Colabello, Blue Jays: Colabello is another player who is scorching hot right now. He is in the midst of a 13-game hitting streak and showing no signs of cooling off. He is a great add to ride while he is hot.
Joe Panik, Giants: Panik is a great add at a tough position to filed in fantasy leagues. I would probably pick him up in any league he is out there in as sometimes 2B can be tough to get a good player. Right now he is batting .304 with 21 RBI and producing at a pretty solid clip. According to ESPN.com they have him as the #6 ranked 2B man.
Trevor Plouffe, Twins: Plouffe is another player who is well worth a pick up right now. The hot corner is some times hard to field as well in fantasy leagues, but beyond that Plouffe is batting a solid .279 with 29 RBI and 8 HRs. Add him to your roster any where that you can.
Mike Napoli, Red Sox: Napoli has been mentioned as a pickup before, but he still remains owned at only a 39.1% rate. He is hot and seems like he is back to form. I would still recommend picking him up.

Jace Peterson, Braves: Peterson is a nice middle infield add as he is eligible at 2B and SS. He is playing well with .268 average, 19 runs, 22 RBI and 7 steals. He is probably a little better add for NL-only leagues or 12 team and larger leagues, but you could give him a look if you were in need for a middle infielder.
Steven Souza Jr., Rays: Souza is a great add if you are in need of some cheap power. He has hit three HRs in his past five games and has 10 on the season. Give him a look if you are in need of cheap power or an OF.
As alwayd we thank you for stopping by here at Fantasy CPR and wish you the best of luck in all of you fantasy baseball leagues.
