He has a decent 3.48 ERA and 1.16 WHIP, and I see him as a middle-of-the-road option with average potential for today.  Houston’s lineup is tricky to predict, so Gonzalez is a wild card as a result.. @ Angels. Nathan Karns. 17. player. 21. Karns had a solid May going 2-1 with a 1.88 ERA in his five starts. Oddly, he has been much better on the road (1-0, 1.02 ERA) than at the Trop (2-2, 4.35 ERA), so the fact that he’s in LA could actually be a good thing as he faced the Angels tonight.  It’s not a great matchup, but Karns has been solid this season although he is still available in 75% of ESPN leagues.. Martinez has been a pleasant surprise for the Rangers going 4-1 with a 2.03 ERA in his ten starts this season.  He has there quality outings in his last four starts and is a solid source of innings and ERA although he doesn’t contribute many K’s.. Bolsinger has allowed two runs or fewer in all five of his MLB starts this season going 3-1 with a sterling 1.15 ERA.  The Rockies have been scoring runs at home lately, so he probably won’t throw a shutout today. However, he did hold Colorado scoreless for six in his first appearance against them in mid-May, and he has shown he can be a good fantasy option in his first month with the Dodgers. . If you can get Tanaka at the right price for this afternoon, he could end up being a sneaky good play in a great matchup against the struggling Taijuan Walker.  Tanaka went 2-1 with a 3.22 ERA and 24 K’s in 22.1 innings before his injury, and the only risk is his unknown form as he comes off the DL to start this afternoon.. Foltynewicz has struck out at least seven batters in each of his last five starts giving him 38 on the season in 36.1 innings. He has turned in two straight quality starts allowing a total of three runs on eight hits in 14.1 innings and lowering his ERA under 4.00. Santiago has been one of the biggest surprises of the season so far becoming a consistent option for the Angels.  He dominated Detroit in his last outing allowing just three hits in 7.1 shutout innings to lower his ERA to 2.18. He has a 4-3 record on the year, but has been able to turn in five straight quality starts and is in a great matchup tonight against Tampa.. Los Angeles Angels. vs Rays. Hector Santiago
