Daily Fantasy Baseball: FanDuel Lineup For June 5
By Dave Fuqua
FanDuel Lineup For June 5
There are several great games on the slate for the 7:05 et FanDuel lineup for June 5. We have 15 different games to choose from and that should give us a ton of firepower to access. With that said let us get right to the action here and pick a pitcher. As a note and a reminder I like to make my fantasy baseball picks strictly from a mathematical standpoint. I use more math than player knowledge and try to forget player’s names when making my picks. This is not entirely possible of course, but that is my goal in all fantasy sports.

Pitcher:
Wade Miley, Red Sox ($7,000): Miley has had a few bad starts lately but they were all on the road. Tommorrow’s game is played in the friendly confines of Fenway Park where Miley has seen pretty good success. He comes at a pretty cheap price and should bring us roughly 12-15 fantasy points.
Catcher:
Francisco Cervelli, Pirates ($2,600): I love Cervelli at this price tag. He has been pretty hot lately and should be in the lineup and should be able to hit safely. Cervelli will be facing off with a pretty hot Williams Perez, but I still like him at this price.
First Baseman:
Mark Teixeira, Yankees ($3,800): Teixeira is a bit pricey here, but the way he is swinging the bat makes him a nice gamble. He is riding a little mini-hot streak with hits in his last five games recording 2 HRs, 6 RBI and 3 runs.
Second Baseman:
Joe Panik, Giants ($3,100): I continue to like to use Panik here in FanDuel with this price tag. He is especially nice while he is rolling with a 9-game hitting streak. He has also ripped off eight RBI and six runs in that span.
Third Baseman:
Will Middlebrooks. Padres ($2,700): Middlebrooks has been playing well in the absence of Yonder Alonso and Wil Myers. Over the last 15 days Middlebrooks is batting .321 with 11 RBI and 3 HRs. He seems to be a pretty nice and cheap source of power for all fantasy leagues right now.

Shortstop:
Troy Tulowitzki, Rockies ($4,800): There could be no better time to roll out the big guns here in FanDuel than right here. Tulowitzki is smoking hot and holds a great career average against Tom Koehler. He is batting .314 against him with 4 HRs and 15 RBI. He is also playing at home where the ball likes to travel.
Outfield:
Giancarlo Stanton, Marlines ($5,300): We have all the big guns to choose from here, but there is just something I like about Stanton playing at Coors Field.
Adam Eaton, Diamondbacks ($3,000): Eaton has been playing pretty well as of late nad has a nice match-up with Kyle Ryan who is making his first start of the season. Eaton holds a decent .237 average against Ryan and his hit 3 HRs against him.
Mitch Moreland, Rangers ($2,700): I went with Moreland to round out my lineup for a couple of reasons. I like the chance of him hitting a bomb, I like the way he is playing lately, and he has a nice career average against Edinson Volquez. Lifetime against Volquez he has hit for a .288 average with 3 HRs and 7 RBI.
As always we here at Fantasy CPR thank you for stopping by and we wish you FanDuelers the best of luck!
