Andrew Bogut sets a huge screen on Iman Shumpert that makes the whole city of Cleveland feel his pain.

One of the most satisfying things as a big man in basketball is setting a hard screen on a smaller guy and making his head shake up a bit. Andrew Bogut got the pleasure of doing so on Sunday night, as Iman Shumpert took the brutal hit that sent him to the hardwood. Check out the video for yourself below.

Was the screen necessary? Well, for one he was nowhere near the play. Nor was it anywhere close to the basket. Shumpert was just lazily trotting back on defense to lock up the Warriors who were also in no rush to get their offense started. Bogut had other plans for him, though, as he set a completely legal screen that resulted in embarrassment for Shumpert.

We all know how heated the playoffs can get. Physicality is amplified by ten and everyone in the building knows it, especially after screens like this where Shumpert needed a second or two to figure out where he was. The refs better clean this one up quick, because this is exactly the type of thing that gets tempers to flare and the blood to boil. JR Smith knows what the result of this type of cheap shot is. He served a two-game suspension for taking a swing at a Celtics player.

But Game 2 is officially underway, and the Cavs can’t really afford to lose any more men after Kyrie Irving was shut down for the remainder of the Finals. As this game moves on, look for Iman Shumpert to get Andrew Bogut back, or maybe for Bogut to nail a couple more screens at half court. Either way, this match up is bound to get heated.
