FanDuel Pitcher Picks For June 9
Thanks for stopping by here at Fantasy CPR where we make it our business to help you in all the fantasy sports that you play. It is our pleasure to bring you what we feel are the best available options for the 7:05 est pm slate of games. So now we bring you our FanDuel pitcher picks for June 9.
NOTE: these picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science. I just provide the facts.
High Dollar ($7,600 and up):
Best Bet:
Sonny Gray, Athletics ($10,300): Sonny Gray has scored over 13 fantasy points in each of his last 3 outings. He draws a fairly tough matchup with the Texas Rangers, but he does so at home. I feel like Gray should be able to get the job done and get around 15 or so fantasy points.
Honorable Mention:
Eduardo Rodriguez, Red Sox ($8,200): Rodriguez has been fantastic in his two starts so far this season. He has scored 18 and 17.66 fantasy points. He does get the Baltimore Orioles, but he does so on the road, and coupled with the fact that he is not a very seasoned starter I slide him down to the honorable mention section. If you are a riverboat gambler then feel free to use him, but if you are more conservative I would opt for Grey in this price range.
Stay Away:
Anibal Sanchez, Tigers ($7,800): Sanchez is a decent option, but with so many different games on the slate for tomorrow I feel he is a guy to stay away from. He has a decent match-up but he has not been pitching well as of late. There are far better options on the table.

Mid-Range Options ($6,500-7,500):
Best Bet:
Carlos Rodon, White Sox ($7,200): Carlos Rodon is the guy that I would be using in this price range. I like his match-up and I like the way he has been pitching lately. Rodon is also at home which should give him a nice advantage.
Honorable Mention:
Mike Foltynewicz, Braves ($7,300): I like Foltynewicz prospects for tomorrow, but I just like Rodon a little bit better. Really they are kind of a toss-up for me, but my gut call was to go for Rodon. I could not argue with you using either one of these guys.
Stay Away:
Anthony DeSclafani, Reds ($6,900): DeScalfani is just one of the guys that I do not feel comfortable with at all. He has only topped nine fantasy points one time in his last eight games. If you want to use him than don’t blame me if he blows up your team.
Next: Are There Any Cheap Options Available?

Cheap Options ($6,400 and under)
Best Bet:
Robbie Ray, Diamondbacks ($6,000): Robbie Ray is not a great option, but he is one of the top two and my favorite options in this price range. I would not be crazy about using him, but he should get around ten fantasy points or so and if you spend the rest of your money wisely on hitters you should be in good shape.
Honorable Mention:
Chris Young, Royals ($6,300): Chris Young is a decent option and should be worth close to ten fantasy points. He is a decent start and could wind up being a bit better.
Stay Away:
I would stay away from every other pitcher in this price range. None of them are players I would recommend unless you have Biff Tanner’s sports almanac. As always we thank you for checking in and checking out our FanDuel pitcher picks for June 9 and wish you FanDuelers the best of luck.
