You can find a post featuring each day’s top 10 matchups each morning right here at Fansided. I try to include a variety of teams and positions while listing the hitters with the best head-to-head record against their probable opponents. As you quickly realize when you play fantasy baseball, past success unfortunately doesn’t guarantee future results, but it is definitely still a factor to consider. With a limited slate today, the options aren’t quite as deep as on full-schedule days but previous head-to-head record is always a factor to consider when selecting your players.
If you find this information helpful and would like to make this post part of your fantasy baseball routine, set a bookmark on our fantasy baseball hub where you can find each day’s fantasy coverage. Let’s get started with my lsat of the top 10 batter vs pitcher matchups as we get underway this Monday, June 8.
10. Martin Prado-3B-Miami Marlins: Prado and the Marlins face the Blue Jays in today’s interleague matchup, but they’ll be facing a former National League foe as they take on former-Brewer Marco Estrada. Prado has a solid history against Estrada going 5-16 (.313) with a double and three RBI which is good enough to earn him a spot in our top 10 batter vs pitcher matchups today.
9. Ryan Braun-OF-Milwaukee Brewers: Braun and the Brewers take on their division-rival Pirates tonight in Pittsburgh. They’ll take on A.J. Burnett who Braun has gone 6-17 (.353) against although all six hits have been singles.
8. Howie Kendrick-2B-Los Angeles Dodgers: Out West in the late game, the Dodgers host the D-Backs as they continue their dogfight atop the NL West with the Giants. They’ll face Rubby De La Rosa tonight which lines up well for Howie Kendrick who has gone 5-12 (.417) with a solo home run against in the past. He is currently considered day-to-day with a knee issue but he took grounders and batting practice Sunday and could return to the lineup tonight. If he does, get him in your lineup as well.
