The NBA Finals are well underway, and LeBron James shared a moment with Jim Brown for some good luck.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are trying to win their firs title in franchise history, and doing so will give the city of Cleveland their first championship since the 1960s. The last time the city of Cleveland won a title, Jim Brown was still a young man.

So to say it’s been a while is an understatement.

LeBron James tried to change that for the first half decade of his career but was unable to find winning ways without leaving the team. But he’s wiser in the ways of the NBA Finals force now, and he’s back in Cleveland to win the title that eluded him for all of his career.

The worlds of Cleveland’s past and present collided before Game 3 of the NBA Finals as Jim Brown and LeBron James shared a moment — or something.

This is a pretty cool moment when you think about it. LeBron James is literally the king of Cleveland but he’s bowing to Jim Brown — that’s huge. Of course, it could be symbolic too as the passing of the mantle could have been witnessed in that moment.

Cleveland fans will love this moment, but it’s also cool for sports fans in general as there aren’t legends like LeBron James and Jim Brown growing on trees.
