10 questions every Chicago Bulls fan wants answered this offseason
Can the Bulls get enough talent to beat LeBron and company?
One name has plagued the Bulls for the past six seasons in the playoffs: LeBron James. In four of the last six seasons, LeBron has been responsible for the departure of the Bulls from the playoffs. And it doesn’t seem he is going away anytime soon.
It’s true, he is the best player in the game. And when he joined Kevin Love and Kryie Irving in Cleveland he only got stronger this year. But even when Love went down with a season ending injury the Bulls couldn’t muster enough scoring to get past LeBron and company. The guy is just straight crazy when it comes to playoff basketball. It’s going to take more than one Derrick Rose buzzer beater to take down the Cavs in the playoffs.
Part of the answer to this question requires retaining most if not all of their free agents this off season. I’ve already spoken about Aaron Brooks, Mike Dunleavy, and Jimmy Butler. So it’s a given how instrumental they will be in the Bulls success against the Cavs. But they also have one more free agent this off season they should consider resigning.
Kirk Hinrich, the 12 year old vet, still has some basketball left in him and will be huge in the Bulls title run if they plan on making it past LeBron. He may not have the stats to back it up, but there isn’t a stat out there that measures heart. And Hinrich has been the heart of the Bulls since he was drafted.
