There are only a few elite options on the mound today for fantasy baseball players, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t ways to get starting pitching stats. Whether you’re looking for a value option for a daily fantasy baseball league, or some streaming starting pitchers for your season-long league, there are some nice values to consider.

More from Colorado Rockies

As we continue to improve our fantasy baseball coverage heading into the summer, I’ll try to give you my top options from the streaming starting pitchers pool each day.  If you want a full ranking of all the starting pitchers who are probable to take the mound tonight, or my top ten batter vs pitcher matchups, follow the links to the right or check out our fantasy baseball hub where our coverage will show up each morning in time for you to get your lineups in for the day.

Today the early games get underway at 12:35, so get your starting rotation set up with the help of these top five streaming starting pitchers:

@ Indians. Taijuan Walker. 5. player. 62. Walker has gone eight innings in each of his last two starts allowing three earned runs total on seven hits while striking out 15 and walking just one. Both those starts came at Safeco where he has actually been pretty solid (1-2, 2.51 ERA) all season. Unfortunately for him and the Mariners, the road he has been a different story (1-4, 9.79 ERA). He has definitely improved lately, though, and may be turning the corner.  He takes on the Tribe in Cleveland tonight who he held scoreless for eight innings on just two hits two starts ago.  His road splits make him risky, but he’s available in over 70% of ESPN leagues and definitely offers some upside.. Seattle Mariners

Chad Bettis. 4. player. 108. Bettis has been great since joining the Rockies rotation in mid-May compiling a 2.70 ERA in his five starts and going 2-0. He has allowed a total of three earned runs over his last three starts on a total of 13 hits in 22.1 innings. Tonight, he takes on St. Louis at home which is a tough matchup limiting him back from being higher on the list.. Colorado Rockies. vs Cardinals

Brett Anderson. 3. player. 71. Anderson has been able to stay healthy so far this year and has become a key part of the LA rotation.  He has allowed three runs or fewer in each of his last eight starts but still has only a 2-4 record.  His 3.29 ERA and 1.30 WHIP are respectable, and one of his best outings of the season came against tonight’s opponent when he faced the D-Backs in Arizona earlier this year.  He held the Snakes scoreless for six innings on five hits, and he is a nice option for tonight despite being owned in less than 15% of ESPN leagues as long as strikeouts aren’t a chief priority for you.. Los Angeles Dodgers. vs Diamondbacks

New York Yankees. vs Nationals. Nathan Eovaldi. 2. player. 43. If the main thing you need from your streaming starting  pitchers today is the ever-elusive “W,” check out Nathan Eovaldi as the Yankees look to win their eighth game in a row.  Eovaldi is 3-0 at home this year and has been excellent in his two daytime starts going 2-0 with a 1.98 ERA.  Especially against a struggling Gio Gonzalez, I think Eovaldi has a good chance at a win against Washington this afternoon.

31. Hudson has turned in two good starts in a row allowing three earned runs total in 14 innings. The start before that he was hammered in Colorado, but he has posted three straight quality outings at AT&T Park where he takes on New York tonight. In his career, Hudson is 17-10 against the Mets with a 3.52 ERA.  The Mets were no-hit yesterday, and Hudson should be able to continue their collective slumps today.. San Francisco Giants. vs Mets. Tim Hudson. 1. player
