3. Tennessee Titans

Tennessee doesn’t have a ton of talent on either side of the ball. The Titans are breaking in a rookie quarterback with Marcus Mariota and a bunch of youngsters around him in Kendall Wright, Dorial Green-Beckham and Bishop Sankey. Needless to say, some experience and talent could be a good thing for Ken Whisenhunt’s group. While Rice could be viewed as a bad guy to bring into the locker room, he could also be invaluable by telling the young players to keep their nose clean or pay the price.

From a playing standpoint, Sankey is the top running back going into training camp. While Sankey presents an interesting prospect after being taken out of the University of Wahshington last year, he is unproven. Rice gives you a security blanket and someone who can provide Mariota with a safety valve when all else fails. Rice can also help with calling out protections and getting the team into the right play, something often overlooked by the casual viewer.

Behind Sankey is David Cobb and Shonn Greene. Both are players who aren’t viewed as starting material, especially with Greene being on the last legs of his middling career. Rice would be able to stabilize the position if he finds his old form. Worst case scenario? Rice struggles in training camp and the Titans cut him at no cost.
